Hi, I'm Leah! I'm the proud owner of Candy Kennels. I'm a wife and a mum of five young children. I have 14 years of dog breeding experience which is my absolute passion in life along with my family. We live on our farm where our dogs enjoy free play with our two forests and ponds. My dogs are not locked up in kennels! They live in their own custom built batches and enjoy a free range life style. Our property is also safe and secure with security cameras to keep an eye on my dogs & what is going on around the property. Puppies are available to approved homes from 8 weeks old. Adding to my Blog about myself and the breed of Dachshunds, It has taken me years to get my facilities right so I can have my Dachshunds, there has been a lot to improve, and get ready customizing everything for the needs of this amazing breed. Ella was the start of my breeding future, she was a short haired chihuahua, my first dog at 21. Our children which all have grown up with our dogs are very very much apart of the adventures with our dogs, and the puppy's. I have been preparing our facilities over the past 4 years for our dachshunds. I have bred Miniature Schnauzers, and Chihuahua's in the past 15 years, so Ive had to change heaps to have a great play area, clean warm bedding, custom built houses with ramps, heating and fans. We are ALWAYS upgrading and improving here at Candy Kennels. About myself...I’m a Christian, I love gardening, and sewing. I make my own dog beds and Blankets regularly. I love long walks on our farm, being in nature, and being with my close friends and family. When people come to visit us, they are blown away with our set up and can clearly see absolute love and dedication for them. My dad is our handy man, and takes much pride in our facilities and helps me tremendously. I cannot thank my dad enough for what he does with our dogs and his joy and love for them also. Candy Kennels is 5 star and no less. I have 5 star facilities, five star handling and socialising with myself, other dogs, and my children. We only have the best food for our dogs, which includes, Royal Canin adult and puppy. With Mince, brown rice, and Silver beet from our garden. Raw peas and Carrots are something thats often given for nibbles and brisket bones from our butcher. (adults only, not cooked).
